About hydrogen
Hydrogen is the 1st element in the periodic table and the most abundant element in the universe. On Earth, hydrogen is almost never found in its pure form, but can be extracted from fossil or renewable energy sources. The latter is called "green hydrogen", which is normally produced by electrolysis on the basis of renewable energy.
We have invented a way to produce hydrogen where electrolysis does not have to be used, but it is produced by a chemically harmless process that is completely harmless to nature.
Hydrogen is gaining more and more traction all over the world as efforts for the green transition are strengthened. Hydrogenerous Denmark, we already have a strong value chain for hydrogen, and the potential for new jobs, increased exports and green growth is enormous, we want roll it out from Denmark.
Power-to-X (PtX), or 'power-to-something' in Danish, is a term that describes how we can convert renewable energy (RE) into hydrogen and climate-friendly fuels.
It starts normally with an electrolysis process, but not with Hydrogenerous we use, any kind of water also seawater is split into hydrogen and oxygen using green harmless chemical process from renewable sources, all natural and harmless and absorb CO2. We can directly use the hydrogen as fuel in the transport sector together with fuel cell technology, but we can also further refine it for e.g. methanol or ammonia. Then it's called electrofuels, and they can be used as fuel in heavy transport, e.g. in air or shipping.
