PTX electrolysis has played a role but lacks profitability the 200-year-old technology has to go on pension as competing technologies like CAT catalysis challenge expensive electrolysis projects that only temporarily support the struggling wind industry. A shift to circular economies and nearly free green hydrogen production is essential. This new hydrogen approach efficiently uses CO2 and tackles three major issues: producing green hydrogen for under 0.54 USD, utilizing and consuming carbon dioxide beneficially, and saving substantial infrastructure costs.
